How to choose a duvet
How to choose a duvet
A good night’s sleep starts with the right bedding – and the duvet plays a major role. The right duvet keeps you warm at night, lets your skin breathe, and makes your sleeping experience genuinely enjoyable.
At Wendre, we offer a wide selection of high-quality duvets designed with your needs in mind.

But how do you make the right choice so the duvet provides you with the best sleep environment and you wake up refreshed and well-rested?
Here are a few suggestions to help you choose the duvet that suits you best.
What to consider when choosing a duvet
1. Think about the warmth level
If you tend to get cold easily, choose a thicker and warmer duvet. Excellent options include the Wendre Classic
and Lux series duvets (Tekk Lux 200×220 300g/m2 – Wendre), both with a filling weight of 300 g/m². And of course, also Wendre down duvets (Suletekk Classic 150 × 210 cm, 220 g/m² – Wendre).

If you sleep warm or need a duvet for summer, choose a lighter and airier option. Great choices include Wendre Lux Light (Duvet Lux 150×200 170g/m2 – Wendre) and Touch of Cool (Duvet Touch of Cool 150×200 170g/m2 – Wendre), with a filling weight of just 170 g/m².
Wendre duvets come in several sizes – for one person we recommend 150×200 cm, and for two people 200×220 cm.
From personal experience: sleeping under a big duvet alone is also extremely nice!
2. Filling material – natural or synthetic?
Down and feather duvets are a traditional choice for those who appreciate natural materials, warmth, and the luxurious feel that down provides. (Add link…)
Synthetic-filled duvets (such as Wendre Feel Good, Touch of Cool, Classic, or Lux series products) come with different filling weights but are very easy to maintain. See Wendre’s duvet selection here: Tekid – Wendre
3. Size
For a single bed, the classic size is 150 × 200 cm ( Duvets 150×200 – Wendre).
For a double bed, choose a larger 200 × 220 cm duvet (Tekid 200×220 – Wendre) so there’s enough comfort and coverage for both sleepers.
A quick reminder for allergy sufferers:
• If you have allergies, synthetic fillings may suit you better.
• If you have sensitive skin, look for duvets made from hypoallergenic materials such as organic cotton, bamboo, or cotton.
